Magnolia Lodge, a Masonic lodge, was founded to
gather Kappa Alpha Freemasons in celebration of our shared traditions and
legacy. Kappa
Alpha Order owes much of its organization and customs to the
Masonic experience of such leaders as Samuel Zenas
Ammen, James Ward Wood, and William Sprigg Hamilton. In like manner, generations of Kappa
Alphas have played significant leadership roles in the Craft and Southern
Freemasonry in particular. Our lodge was instituted as a living memorial
to these brethren - inspired both by the example of Robert E. Lee and the
teachings of this ancient fraternity.
Formed as a traditional Craft lodge warranted by the
Grand Lodge, F.A.A.M., of the District of Columbia, Magnolia gathers
Kappa Alpha Masons throughout the United States. Brethren currently
reside in Alabama, Arkansas,
California, Delaware,
Florida, Georgia,
Indiana, Maryland,
Mississippi, Missouri,
New York, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington City.
Magnolia was chartered on December 21, 1996 - the
traditional anniversary of Kappa Alpha Order's foundation in 1865.
